John Lambert

Mr. Lambert was born in Millwall (an area of London) and entered the HBC as an engineer in 1844. He spent some time working on the Beaver. However, Lambert suffered from chronic rheumatism and, though treated exceptionally well, had to cut his five-year contract short and return to England in 1847.
